Run a sim

Set up the sim

A sim runs on a character from your list. If yours isn't there, add it first.

  1. Open your character's page and choose New sim.
  2. Pick the sim you want from the list.
  3. Under Choose a mode, pick the fight to sim.
  4. Under Choose a rotation, pick the rotation you play with.
  5. To sim another spec of your class, pick it under Choose a spec, where the sim offers it.
  6. Where the page asks you to Paste your SimC addon string, export your character and paste it.
  7. Choose Start sim.

Sim modes explains which fight to pick, and Rotation styles what each rotation plays. A sim with a crown beside it is part of Premium.

Start on your rotation

The setup page and Create guide start on Standard. To start them on the rotation you play with:

  1. Choose your name at the foot of the sidebar, or Account at the foot of the page on a phone.
  2. Under General, set Rotation.

A rotation you pick on the setup page still wins for that sim. A sim you start from a ranking or a class guide plays that page's rotation.

While it runs

The page shows each part of the sim and how far it has to go. Choose Cancel to stop it.

You can close the page. The sim carries on, and its report opens there when it finishes. It's also listed under Sims on your character's page. Read a sim report explains what it shows.
