Export your character with the SimC addon

The SimC addon exports your character as it is in game, with the items in your bags, your Great Vault choices and your crests. Best in bags, Best in vault and Item upgrades need it. Any other sim can use it to sim the gear you have equipped now, before the Armory catches up.

SimulationCraft doesn't support healer specs, so on a healer, export while in a damage spec.

Install it

Install the SimulationCraft addon and log in to the character you want to sim.

Export your character

  1. For Best in vault, open the Great Vault first.
  2. Type this in chat and press Enter:
    /simc
  3. Press Ctrl+C, or Cmd+C on a Mac, to copy the text in the window that opens.

Paste it

  1. On the sim's setup page, find Paste your SimC addon string, or open Import from the SimC addon.
  2. Paste the text into the box.

The line under the box names the character and spec it read, and the sim runs that gear and those talents.

If the string won’t read

Copy the full text from the /simc window, including the first line. If the page says a newer version is out, choose Get the update and export again.
