Best build and Best spec
- Best build sims your character with each top build for your spec.
- Best spec sims your gear as each damage spec of your class, on that spec's top builds.
Below the level cap, each build is cut down to the talent points your character has.
Read the list
Each row is a build, or a spec on Best spec, ranked by DPS. Its figure is how much it gains or loses against your current build. Rows that share a rank are a tie, so pick whichever you prefer to play. Read a sim report explains ties.
Pick a row to see its talents beside the list. Turn on Diff to mark what it changes from your current build.
Best spec lists each spec's best build. To see every build it simmed, open the settings at the top of the list and set Show to All builds.
Sim your own builds
Turn on Include my saved loadouts under Extra options and your saved loadouts sim beside the build list, on every account. They come from the Armory, or from your SimC addon string for the spec you exported it in.
The switch shows each valid loadout. Pick one to see its talents. A loadout with talent points left unspent at your level stays out. The line under them counts any left out and names each one. The report lists them too, under the results, in case you want to update or remove them in game. A sim you start from a guide, the compare page or the rankings skips this form, and always includes your saved loadouts.
Each loadout's row carries its name, or a number, since the Armory carries no names. If a loadout is the same build as a row already on the list, it marks that row instead of adding a second one.
You can add builds from anywhere else too, a guide's or one a friend sent you, by their build string.
- Under Extra options, turn on Include custom builds and paste each build string on its own line.
- Check the lines shown under the field. A string that isn't a valid build, that leaves talent points unspent, or that belongs to a spec the sim doesn't run, is left out, and the line under them says why. On Best spec, a string for another spec of your class sims as that spec.
- Start the sim. Each pasted build's row says it was pasted.
Copy a build
- Pick the build's row.
- Choose Copy beside its build string, under the talents.
- In game, open your talents and import the string as a loadout.
