Change or cancel your plan
Your plan is in your account settings. Choose your name at the foot of the sidebar, or Account at the foot of the page on a phone, then Billing.
Change tier or term
- Beside Membership, choose (Change plan).
- On the Premium page, choose the button on the tier you want, such as Upgrade to Tier 3. To change term on your own tier, pick the term at the top of the page, then choose the button on your tier, such as Switch to 3 months.
- Choose Continue to Stripe, and confirm the change there once it shows the amount.
A higher tier, or a longer term on the same tier, starts straight away, and you pay the difference that day. A higher tier on a shorter term starts straight away too; if it costs less than the time you have left, what is left over pays toward your next payments.
A lower tier, or a shorter term on the same tier, starts at your next renewal. You keep your current plan until then, and Membership shows the day it changes. Cancelling before then drops the change.
Changing your plan while it is set to end keeps it going. Stripe says so before you confirm.
A plan on a legacy price keeps its term, because a change on its tier would end that price. It can still move to another tier.
Update your card
Beside Payment method, choose (Edit) and then Continue to Stripe, and change the card there.
If a payment does not go through
Your account is free until it is paid. The plan stays yours, at the same price. Account action needed shows above your name in the sidebar, or above Account on a phone, until the payment goes through, and opens Billing.
Choose Update card at the foot of Billing, or Update your card on the Premium page, and change the card on Stripe. The new card is charged when you come back, and your tier returns.
You cannot change plan until then. If the payment stays unpaid, the plan ends.
Cancel
- At the foot of Billing, choose Cancel subscription.
- Pick a reason and choose Continue, or choose Skip.
- Choose Cancel subscription.
You keep your tier until the end of the time you have paid for, and Billing shows the day it ends. Then your account returns to free. Your characters, guides and sim reports stay, and a guide a free account cannot refresh is marked Read only.
If your last payment did not go through, cancelling ends the plan straight away, and your card is not charged again.
Pause
Pick Taking a break from WoW as the reason, and you can choose Pause subscription instead of cancelling. You keep your tier until the end of the time you have paid for. After that your card is not charged, and your account is free until you resume.
To come back, choose Resume subscription at the foot of Billing. Once the pause has started, resuming starts a new billing period that day.
Resume
Changed your mind before the plan ends? Choose Resume subscription at the foot of Billing, and it renews as before. To come back after it has ended, subscribe again.
