Rotation and Cooldowns

This rotation guide should help give a basic understanding of what to do, what's most important, and how to prioritize Subtlety Rogue abilities and cooldowns.

Single Target

Start in Stealth.

To open the encounter.
Maintain this buff.
Repeat to build Combo Points.
Use on cooldown.
Apply to the target.
Use on cooldown.
Cast when available.
Use to maximize damage output.
Use during Shadow Dance.
Spend Combo Points when >= 6.
Use with Shadow Dance if needed.
Continue generating Combo Points.
Use with Secret Technique for maximum effect.
Finish with Eviscerate when Combo Points are high.
Spend Combo Points as needed.

Begin with Shadowstrike in Stealth, maintain Slice And Dice, and use Flagellation and Rupture on cooldown. Utilize Shadow Dance effectively to maximize damage.

AoE

Start in Stealth.

To initiate AoE damage.
Maintain this buff.
Repeat for AoE damage.
Use on cooldown.
Apply to targets that live > 12 seconds.
Use on cooldown for AoE.
Use to maximize damage during AoE.
Use with Shadow Dance if needed.
Use on cooldown.
Cast when available.
Use to spend Combo Points when >= 6.
Continue generating Combo Points.
Finish with AoE abilities as needed.

For AoE, start with Shuriken Storm, maintain Slice And Dice, and use Flagellation and Rupture on cooldown. Utilize Shadow Dance effectively for burst damage.

Cooldowns

Use cooldowns strategically for maximum impact.

Primary damage cooldown, use wisely.
Use on cooldown for burst damage.
Use in conjunction with other cooldowns.
Use to enhance damage during burst phases.
Use to restore Energy when needed.

Prioritize Shadow Dance and Shadow Blades during burst phases, and use Flagellation and Symbols Of Death to maximize damage.
