Protection Paladin

This rotation guide should help give a basic understanding of what to do, what's most important, and how to prioritize Protection Paladin abilities and cooldowns.

Rotation

1. Consecration (keep active)
2. Shield of the Righteous (to generate charges)

• Judgment
• Hammer of Wrath
• Avenger's Shield
• Hammer of the Righteous
• Consecration, if not standing in it
• Devotion Aura if you are the only Paladin
• Retribution Aura if a Holy Paladin in in group

Active Mitigation and Cooldowns

• Shield of the Righteous (keep up)
• Shield of the Righteous
• Word of Glory (use as needed)

Cooldowns

• Guardian of Ancient Kings (use in a pinch)
• Ardent Defender (in critical moments)
• Avenging Wrath (useful as self-heal or boost to defense/offense)
• Lay On Hands (as emergency heal)
• Divine Shield (quickly clear debuffs or avoid death!)
