Elemental Shaman PvE Guide
The War WithinPatch 11.0.2
Rotation and Cooldowns
This rotation guide should help give a basic understanding of what to do, what's most important, and how to prioritize Elemental Shaman abilities and cooldowns.
Single Target
Ensure Flame Shock is applied to the target before engaging.
- Use whenever available.
- Cast at the start of the encounter.
- Use after Fire Elemental.
- Cast as soon as available.
- Use if Master Of The Elements is active.
- Continue casting until out of charges.
- Use if no empowered Frost Shock is available.
- Cast if Lava Surge procs.
- Use while moving if empowered.
- Use as filler when no other abilities are available.
Maintain Flame Shock on the target, utilize Ancestral Swiftness and Fire Elemental at the start, and prioritize Lava Burst and Earth Shock based on procs.
AoE
Apply Flame Shock to multiple targets when possible.
- Cast at the start of the AoE phase.
- Use to spread Flame Shock to multiple targets.
- Deploy to maximize AoE damage.
- Use when multiple targets are present.
- Cast when there are 3+ targets.
- Use if it will hit multiple targets due to Primordial Wave.
- Cast as charges become available.
- Use while moving if empowered.
- Use as filler when no other abilities are available.
For AoE, start with Fire Elemental and Primordial Wave, then use Liquid Magma Totem and Earthquake to maximize damage across multiple targets.
Cooldowns
Use cooldowns strategically based on fight mechanics and timing.
- Use during high damage phases.
- Summon whenever available.
- Use on cooldown for burst damage.
- Use to enhance damage on multiple targets.
Prioritize Ascendance during burst phases, and use Fire Elemental and Stormkeeper on cooldown for maximum damage.
