# Create a character guide

## Create a guide

1. On your character's page, choose **New guide** under **Guides**.
2. Pick a **Spec**, a **Mode** and a **Rotation**.
3. Enter a **Name**, or leave it blank to name the guide after its mode and rotation.
4. Choose **Create guide**, or **Add guide** where the page says a guide on these settings is already made for your character.

After **Create guide**, the guide opens and shows its sims' progress. You can close it or leave the page. Every section fills in when the sims are done. **Add guide** opens the guide already made.

Spec, mode and rotation stay fixed for a guide. To try other settings, create another guide.

If your character's free guides are already made, picking other settings lists them. Choose **Pick** on one for a free guide, or **See Premium** to create a guide on the settings you picked.

## From a class guide

On a section of a [class guide](https://www.noxxic.com/docs/class-guides), pick a **Mode** or **Rotation** tab the guide doesn't show. Pick your character, or enter one, and choose **Create guide**.
