# Add a character and sign in

## Add a character

1. In the sidebar, choose **Add a character**, or **Add** once your list has a character; on a phone, open **Characters** and choose **Add a character** or the **+** button.
2. Pick your **Region** and **Realm**, enter your **Character name** and choose **Look up**.
3. Check it's your character and choose **Add character**.

Your character's page opens, and the character is saved to your list.

> If the name and realm are right, turn on **Share my game data with community developers** in your [Battle.net privacy settings](https://www.noxxic.com/out?to=https%3A%2F%2Faccount.battle.net%2Fprivacy).

## Sign in

You don't need an account to add a character. Until you sign in, your characters, sims and guides are kept in this browser only.

1. Choose **Sign in** at the foot of the sidebar, or of the page on a phone.
2. Choose **Continue with Google**, or enter your email, choose **Continue with email** and type the code it sends.
3. The first time, pick a username, accept the terms and choose **Create account**.

Everything you saved in this browser moves into your account, and you find it on any device you sign in on.
