Talent Build & Glyphs for Shadow Priest in PvP | Latest Patch 6.0.3
Below is the recommended Talent Build & Glyphs guide for Shadow Priest at level 90. These recommendations are based on a combination of extensive play testing to assess the overall usefulness and power of each talent.
Below is the recommended build. Click the + symbol to read more about each talent. The selected talents are simply our general recommendation, your play style and group needs should be a priority when choosing your build. The talent descriptions include some additional advice on when different talents are the most appropriate choice.
- 15Desperate PrayerSpectral GuiseAngelic Bulwark
Desperate Prayer provides a burst heal, but is generally less useful than other talents in this tier. Priests are already well-equipped healers, so an additional heal provides little value.
Spectral Guise provides invaluable stealth and time for casting fears and other spells, and buys you time to reposition in the fight. This talent is excellent in PvP.
- 30Body and SoulAngelic FeatherPhantasm
Body And Soul provides a reasonable movement speed boost, but is difficult to use due to Weakened Soul. Using Power Word Shield just for movement speed can be risky, and possibly leave you with a limited ability to mitigate damage.
Angelic Feather provides a potent movement speed boost that can be flexibly used by yourself and your team.
Phantasm provides a crowd control break that can be quite useful in solo play. However, Angelic Feather tends to be a bit more versatile overall, especially when playing in a group.
- 45Surge of DarknessMindbenderInsanity
Mindbender provides additional Mana and a distraction for your opponents. As Shadow, the Mana return from Mindbender is not as helpful as the instant-cast damage from Surge of Darkness.
Insanity is very potent and can help you finish targets in between stuns. Insanity is a strong alternative to Surge of Darkness, with both options providing solid burst damage potential.
- 60Void TendrilsPsychic ScreamDominate Mind
Void Tendrils is the most useful choice of this tier if you expect to be fighting mostly melee players. The AoE crowd control is reasonably effective and can force the use of their cooldowns.
- 75Twist of FatePower InfusionShadowy Insight
Twist of Fate provides a useful damage and healing boost. As Shadow, Twist of Fate is not as useful as the other talents in this tier. Other talents offer more options for increasing your burst damage, which is invaluable in PvP.
Power Infusion is the least useful talent in this tier. The long cooldown makes the talent difficult to use and the buff is likely to be removed quickly.
- 90CascadeDivine StarHalo
Shadow Cascade provides strong damage at a distance. This talent is best used in large areas like battlegrounds, where you can put the distance to use to damage or heal targets in a big area.
Shadow Divine Star offers strong damage over a small distance and is relatively easy to aim.
Shadow Halo provides a high amount of damage over a moderate area, but the positioning requirements make Shadow Halo difficult to use, compared to the other talents in this tier.
Major Glyphs are all highly situational. Your Glyph choices will largely depend on your team and class composition.
