DPS Rotation & Cooldowns (5.4.7)

Maintaining a proper Rotation and using the right Cooldowns is essential to maximizing your Fury Warrior. Use this guide to optimize your single target and AoE rotations while learning how to get the most out of your cooldowns.

Single Target Rotation

Stance: Use one of the following stances.

Normal Priority: Execute this priority when Colossus Smash is on cooldown.

  1. Colossus Smash to activate its debuff. Execute the Colossus Smash priority.
  2. Bloodthirst on cooldown. Applies Deep Wounds.
  3. Heroic Strike to dump Rage (100+).
  4. Raging Blow with 2 charges.
  5. Wild Strike when Bloodsurge procs.
  6. Battle Shout with low Rage.
  7. Heroic Throw as a filler.

Colossus Smash Priority: Execute this priority during Colossus Smash.

  1. Bloodthirst on cooldown. Applies Deep Wounds.
  2. Execute as a Rage dump when target is below 20% health.
  3. Heroic Leap when possible. Not on the GCD!
  4. Heroic Strike on cooldown. Not on the GCD!
  5. Raging Blow whenever available.
  6. Wild Strike when Bloodsurge procs.

Fury Warrior DPS is based on using Colossus Smash as much as possible while preparing key abilities to be used during the short debuff applied by Colossus Smash. Follow the normal priority while Colossus Smash is on cooldown. When Colossus Smash is ready to come up within the next 2 GCD, you should save Heroic Strike and Raging Blow to be used during the next Colossus Smash. Ideally, you should start each Colossus Smash cycle with a full Rage bar.

One notable change to the Colossus Smash rotation occurs when your target is below 20% health. At this point, you should use Execute as your primary Rage dump with a higher priority than everything except Bloodthirst.

AoE Rotation

With 2 targets, continue with the single target rotation. For 3-5 targets, use Whirlwind 3 times to build up Meat Cleaver and then use Raging Blow to hit multiple targets. Repeat this cycle until things are dead. At 6+ targets, just spam Whirlwind. Use Dragon Roar on cooldown.

Effective Cooldowns

These effective cooldowns are available if you chose them in your talent build.

  • Dragon Roar Use on cooldown for single target and AoE DPS.
  • Bloodbath Use on cooldown for single target and AoE DPS.

These are effective cooldowns to try and incorporate into most all encounters.
