The following rotation guide was developed through extensive simulations and play testing with the goal of keeping the guide as simple as possible without sacrificing performance. This guide also included AoE rotations and provides details on when to use special talents and cooldowns.

Single Target Rotation

DPS Priority: Execute this priority for optimal DPS.

  1. Colossus Smash as often as possible.
  2. Arms Execute with >= 40 Rage and target is below 20% health.
  3. Mortal Strike when available.
  4. Slam to dump excess Rage.

Arms Warrior DPS revolves around using Colossus Smash as often as possible for its high damage and subsequent damage buff. Remember to watch for Tactician procs to reset the cooldown on Colossus Smash. Beyond, Colossus Smash, you should use Arms Execute as your primary Rage dump with >= 40 Rage when your target is below 20% health. Mortal Strike and Slam are your Rage dumps when your target is above 20% health.

AoE Rotation

The AoE rotation is similar to the single target rotation with the notable additions of Cleave and Arms Whirlwind. Continue to execute the single target rotation, but use Cleave on cooldown to buff Arms Whirlwind. Use Arms Whirlwind when fully buffed as your highest priority Rage dump.

    Effective Cooldowns

    These are effective cooldowns to try and incorporate into most all encounters.

    • Battle Cry Use as often as possible.
    • Bladestorm Use as often as possible, especially for burst AoE damage.
